TCP receives NEN4400-1 and VCU certification

What is NEN4400-1?

In 2007 NEN was introduced by the Stichting Normering Arbeid to recognize business with an exemplary track record regarding personnel administration. The NEN4400-1 verifies that the organisations personnel administration is correct, compliant with Dutch law and reported in a timely fashion. It furthermore confirms that the business pay all taxes accurately and on time and that the personnel on their payroll are legally entitled to work in The Netherlands.

What does this mean to you? The benefit to our business partners, clients and customers is that the NEN4400-1 offers further assurance that TCP is continuing to offer the highest protection to you and your business partners from any liability associated with wage Tax and VAT payments relating to contractors working for you through TCP’s Dutch payroll.

TCP continues to offer our clients invaluable protection from any fines relating to Dutch Tax and employment law.

What is VCU?

A VCU-certificate relates to organisations that specialise in the secondment of personnel to VCA-companies (companies that require a VCA certificate due to the high on-site health and safety risks), such as:

Engineering companies that supply construction management services
Mechanical engineering companies
Companies that are specialised in electro technology
Companies that are specialised in civil and structural engineering
Companies that are specialised other technical fields, such as: energy, isolation, environmental clean-up, scaffolding, and more.

In order for TCP to be registered as a VCU, our health and safety management system must be fully compliant with the terms and conditions set by the VCU.

What does TCP do with this certification?

Employees of TCP who hold key positions have attended a VIL-VCU course. We now officially possess sufficient knowledge to inform and instruct the so called ‘flexworker’ how to perform their on-site activities in a manner that is considered safe and healthy. In order to communicate on-site risks effectively, a ‘working-conditions checklist’ based on the client’s specific working environment, will be filled out. We will then go through the list with the employee before he/she starts working. This way the ‘flexworker’ will be informed of the possible risks, and appropriate precautions can be taken.

How do TCP’s clients benefit?

VCA companies in the Netherlands demand from their staff-suppliers to be VCU certified. The fact that we possess this certificate can be used as a selling tool to VCA companies.
